design process
  1. The digital images are downloaded to the job file and the additional details are added to the site plan by the CAD drafter and saved back to the server.
  2. The base plan is re-plotted.
  3. Kevin Stephens Design Group, Inc. hand draws a schematic design on a tracing paper overlaid on the CAD base plan.
  4. Kevin Stephens Design Group, Inc. has a schematic plan meeting with client for comments.
  5. Kevin Stephens Design Group, Inc. hand draws additional changes including the client comments and adds general notes (i.e., spa here, pool, cobble stone path, etc.).
  6. The CAD drafter combines the revised hand drawn schematic plan and general notes into an AutoCAD drawing known as a preliminary plan.
  7. The completed CAD drawing is sent to the client for review and to sign off on beginning construction documents.
  8. The client is invoiced for the schematic design / preliminary design phase of the project.
